QuickTime® Software

To access the audio, video and animation files on the Whole Health CD/Web hybrid, you will need to configure your browser to play the files using the QuickTime "plug-in." This means that you may have to install the QuickTime software. Most Macs come with QuickTime preinstalled. On most PCs, you will need to download and install QuickTime. Installing the QuickTime software will automatically install the plug-in needed for your browser to play the multimedia files that have been added to your CD. How do you know if you already have QuickTime installed? If QuickTime is installed on your computer, you will see the logo (above left) display briefly whenever you attempt to play a video file in your browser.

Test Your Browser

If you do not know whether you have these plugins installed already click on the plugins checks to see if you have these installed.

To double check that QuickTime works properly, click on the following QuickTime movie link to see if your browser handles QuickTime correctly. You should see a brief animation without audio. Please be patient while movie loads.

Click on the following QuickTime audio link to see if your browser will play QuickTime audio. You should hear an audio-only file. Please be patient while audio loads.

Click on the following MP3 Audio link to see if your browser will playback mp3 audio files. You should hear an audio-only file. Please be patient while audio loads.
