We have

Each year,
Cuesta College delivers practical training and provides hands-on
learning to Cuesta College employees through its staff
development programs and activities.
Professional development is designed to increase a person’s knowledge,
skills, and abilities to improve job performance and/or provide
institutional enhancement.
The
programs and activities that are offered by the Staff and Management
Development Committee will be aligned to support the
vision,
mission, and values of the college.
Staff and Management Development
Committee
This
committee replaces the Staff Development Committee.
Funding
Classified bargaining unit,
confidential, management and supervisory staff may receive up to
$250 per person per year of staff development funds. Funding will
be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Funding Request Procedure:
How to Apply
To apply for funds please
click on the
Funding Request Form, print it out, complete and submit the form
to the Human Resources Office with required documentation.
When to Apply - Early
Because of limited funding,
requests must be submitted prior to the activity.
The completed funding
request form must be returned to Human Resources by the last working
day of the month for consideration by the committee at its next
regular meeting (2nd Wednesday of the month). If you are requesting
training that will take place between the 1st day and the
2nd Wednesday of the month your request must be submitted no
later than the last working day of the prior month.
Requests submitted after
the start date of the activity will only be considered at the end of
the fiscal year provided funds are available.
