The 35th Central Coast
March 9-10th, 2018
Hello and Welcome!
The Central Coast Jazz Festival (CCJF) is a competitive jazz festival hosted by Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo for Middle School, High School and College/University Big Bands and Combos. Last year we had great bands with an excellent judging panel and the Dave Douglas Quartet (Adam Benjamin, Kaveh Rastegar, Jason Harnell) was amazing. Even though it is still to be decided who the guest artst is it promises to be a great experience for everyone involved.
The festival date has been set for March 9th and 10th. All of the performances on Friday March 9th will have a judging pannel and receive clinics, but may or may not have published scores according to how the divisions work out across the two days.
Usually we have a guest artist that will perform Friday night of the festival with the Cuesta Jazz groups, and on Saturday they will give a free clinic at noon and also give a concert at 8pm. Stay tuned for more information on this.
On this site you will find information about this year's festival and guest artist, an application and closer to the festival a schedule of bands. After the festival it will be possible to check back and see each band's scores.
