Dear 4th Semester Nursing
Student,
Hi Everyone, I will be your
instructor in the upcoming online class of Nurse Leadership/Management (NRAD
204). This letter is to inform you of some important details prior to the
commencement of the Spring 2009 online class. The actual dates for this
class are March 30-May 8. Please read this page carefully!!
2-3 weeks prior to
the official start of class March 30, 2008, login at -
http://blackboard.cuesta.edu our login name is you’re my.cuesta ID typed
in lowercase letters (first name_last name joan_smith Your password is
STUDENT in uppercase letters).
I will make sure that we have everyone
registered in “Blackboard” before the beginning of class so that the actual
class time is productive. During March, communication will be through the class
List serve. Once the course begins, we will be communicating directly through
Blackboard.
Class Requirements
As you already know, you need to have an e-mail account and access to the World
Wide Web. You will also need to purchase your textbook for the class. The
textbook "Leadership Roles and Management Functions in Nursing: Theory and
Application”—(6th
edition)
by Marquis and Huston is in the bookstore and is a required text.
Mandatory Meetings
We'll have two mandatory class meetings. The first meeting is on Wednesday,
April 22 at 12:30-2:30 in room 2509 on the SLO campus. The second meeting is on
Wednesday April 29 at 12:30-2:30 in room 2509 on the SLO campus.
There is no provision for
anyone who misses any of these classes.
I will provide you with the content of these meetings later.
