CUESTA COLLEGE TO DEDICATE FIRST PERMANENT
 BUILDING AT NORTH COUNTY CAMPUS THIS FRIDAY,
 OCTOBER 21

Cuesta College has officially opened its first permanent building at the North County Campus and a celebration is scheduled. A dedication ceremony for the Allied Health, Math and Science Building will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 21 in front of the building on Cuesta’s North County Campus. A light lunch and an open house of the new facility will immediately follow the ceremony at 11:15 a.m.

The Allied Health, Math and Science Building has been hosting classes since the start of Cuesta’s Summer Session, which began June 13. Classes are currently being held there for the fall semester. The $11.7 million, 13,000 square foot facility includes 15 classrooms, a math tutoring lab and 21 faculty offices.

The new building allows more than a dozen new courses at the North County Campus, with enrollment expecting to exceed 2,500 students. New subject areas include art, chorus, culinary arts, biology, physics, astronomy, electronics, allied health, math, history, chemistry and real estate.  In addition, existing classes will be moved to the new facility from their current modular homes.
