MIXED CHORUS CLASS
OFFERED AT THE NORTH COUNTY CAMPUS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER –
LATE REGISTRATION UNTIL AUGUST 27
Nearly
everyone has a musical side. Explore yours with Music 28, the first-ever
mixed chorus class at the North County Campus. This unique class is the
only community chorus opportunity in the North County, and it begins
August 16, with late registration extending through August 27.
Music 28 is
a community/student mixed chorus, open to anyone who wishes to
participate in vocal music. Music styles ranging from Renaissance
Madrigals through 20th Century Jazz will be performed.
Cassandra Tarantino is the
conductor for the North County Campus Chorus. She brings conducting and
performing experience in the United States and Europe, and is skilled in
choral conducting and performance flute. She enjoys working with people
of all ages to learn about and create beautiful music as a team.
Goals of the mixed chorus class
include vocal production, ensemble singing (up to eight parts), music
theory, sight-singing, and performance practice of musical genres and
eras.
All
community and student singers are welcome to join this ensemble. A
placement audition for new students will take place at the beginning of
each semester.
Music 28, Mixed Chorus meets
Tuesday nights from 4 to 7 p.m. August 16 through December 16. Late
registration runs through August 27. For more information, contact the
