MIXED CHORUS CLASS OFFERED AT THE NORTH COUNTY CAMPUS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER –
LATE REGISTRATION UNTIL AUGUST 27

Nearly everyone has a musical side. Explore yours with Music 28, the first-ever mixed chorus class at the North County Campus. This unique class is the only community chorus opportunity in the North County, and it begins August 16, with late registration extending through August 27.

Music 28 is a community/student mixed chorus, open to anyone who wishes to participate in vocal music.  Music styles ranging from Renaissance Madrigals through 20th Century Jazz will be performed.

Cassandra Tarantino is the conductor for the North County Campus Chorus.  She brings conducting and performing experience in the United States and Europe, and is skilled in choral conducting and performance flute. She enjoys working with people of all ages to learn about and create beautiful music as a team.

Goals of the mixed chorus class include vocal production, ensemble singing (up to eight parts), music theory, sight-singing, and performance practice of musical genres and eras.

All community and student singers are welcome to join this ensemble.  A placement audition for new students will take place at the beginning of each semester.

Music 28, Mixed Chorus meets Tuesday nights from 4 to 7 p.m. August 16 through December 16. Late registration runs through August 27. For more information, contact the Cuesta College North County Campus at 591-6225.
