Effective January 1, 2007 Governor Schwarzenegger reduces tuition fees at all California Community Colleges from $26 per unit to $20 per unit. This drop in fees will make an education from Cuesta College even more accessible to students. Students registering for Spring Semester, which begins January 22 will pay $20 per unit. Cuesta College has the highest enrollment in its 43-year history totaling 11,542 students. This reduction in fees will possibly bring more students to Cuesta College’s three Central Coast campuses, continuing the record-breaking enrollment. The drop in fees makes California's Community College fees the lowest in the nation. Tuition at the state's world-class community colleges remains more than 60 percent below the average for their peer institutions.
