PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:

In praise of Ann Grant and Terry Bowen. This month Dean Ann Grant and Coach Terry Bowen complete two incredibly distinguished careers at Cuesta College and begin their retirements. While they both come from the same cluster and have had a very lot to do with health and wellness, their accomplishments deserve separate recognition.
Ann Grant began her Cuesta career as a student and earned her associate degree in Nursing. She is an outstanding role model for the student who intends to earn an associate degree at a community college and go on to earn a baccalaureate, master's and a doctorate. Dr. Grant has been a staff nurse at French Hospital and a U.S. Hospital in Germany, a Cuesta teacher and administrator, a consultant on health care issues in the community, and an author. She is also the mother of two lovely daughters and her latest pride and joy granddaughter Rowena. As an administrator, Ann has been a "fierce" champion of her cluster and rarely lost a "fight" for equipment, faculty, or having her say at Cabinet.
