James Miley Receives Recognition from International Jazz Organization

Music instructor James Miley has exceptional talent – as a teacher, musician and composer. The International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) has recognized this, naming Miley as the recipient of the 2005 IAJE’s Gil Evans Fellowship.

The Gil Evans Fellowship is an annual program which identifies an emerging jazz composer from an international field of candidates. The recipient will compose a work for the IAJE’s Annual Conference, and will be provided will all expenses to attend this international event for the next two years.
