| • Our caring custodians who comforted Rick Moody in his last moments of consciousness.
• Our classified staff members who organized the donations for Hurricane Katrina victims; through their leadership and everyone’s generosity Cuesta raised over $11,000.
• The ASCC student leaders and the Student Life and Leadership staff for holding such a meaningful conversation with administrators and the leaders of CCCUE and CCFT earlier this fall and for organizing the second forum this month.
• The members of the District Bond Education and Input Committee, all of you who have given input and especially Stephan Gunsaulus, Allison Merzon, Peter Dill, Pete Pedersen, and Pete Sysak, for their presentations at the November 10 and 15th campus forums.
• The faculty and staff who have organized this fall’s great conferences such as the William Randolph Hearst Symposium and Learning Disabilities Conference.
• The “Report to the Community” just off the press—watch for your copy.
• All the administrators, faculty, and staff who have joined the Cuesta College workforce in the past 12 months. (Do you remember how we began to wonder last year whether we would ever find new vice presidents, someone to lead the Foundation, the new full-time faculty, and all the classified staff who have just joined us since the last time we enjoyed Thanksgiving?)
• Chancellor Mark Drummond for selecting Cuesta College for his November 29 regional meeting.
• The Cuesta College Foundation for funding your projects with more than $120,000 to support equipment purchases, guest lecturers, and hourly employees.
• The 11,200 Cuesta College students and 720 employees this fall!
I am grateful that you and I work at Cuesta College, that we have such good students, and a community that cares so much about how well we do. May your Thanksgiving Holiday be filled with good company, great food, a long walk on the beach, special music, and a new book.
