Morro Bay Art Association Announces Awards to Cuesta Fine Art Students

The following students were honored:

Rebeccah Ann Weber - 1st place photography
Prem Ananda - 2nd place photography
Rosaline Jo Rancour - 3rd place photography

Dana Kim Hixson - 1st place 2-D
Anthony Harris - 2nd place 2-D
Lauren Birkhahn - 3rd place 2-D
Carla Wingett - Honorable Mention

The following Fine Arts students have received monetary awards in the 2005 Fine Arts Scholarship program sponsored by the Morro Bay Art Association (MBAA).

Each year the MBAA invites all students from Cuesta College and Cal Poly, as well as Mission College Prep and San Luis Obispo County High Schools, to submit portfolios of their current work for judging by the professional art community. This year’s judging took place on Saturday, November 5th. A reception was held Sunday, November 13th to issue awards.

The Fine Arts department congratulates its students for this accomplishment and thanks the Morro Bay Art Association for its continued efforts to recognize the excellent work created by our local students.

The students’ work will be on display at the Morro Bay Art Association Gallery at 835 Main Street in Morro Bay through December 4th
