Watch for more news about Project Oz and opportunities for training in the Banner programs.  By January “MyCuesta” will be a web site with a “Cuesta News” channel which will replace CC News and provide an internal means of communication for daily updates, committee news, etc.  The Computer Services staff deserves many thanks for organizing and implementing the new integrated software system. Look for exciting developments on the college’s web site as the Marketing and Communication Department implements new messages with new tools.

As I announced on September 6, I will be leaving Cuesta College at the end of this semester and beginning a new phase in my career and life. The Board of Trustees is working on the Transition/Recruitment plan for hiring a new Superintendent/President.  During the October 4 Board meeting this topic was further discussed and you should be receiving a status update by the time you read this publication. I know they are actively working to make the selection process inclusive.

Please give yourself some pleasure—enjoy our Soccer, Water Polo, Wrestling, Cross-county teams at games throughout the fall. We have great sporting events at this College. Also check out the busy schedule of music concerts and listen to some of our award-winning faculty and visiting musicians. It is a great pleasure to see these talented artists working together. Lastly, take a walk around our campus and the surrounding area. We should celebrate the grand physical setting of this College.  Take a lunch hike on the trails near our campus and soak up all the natural beauty.
