Project Oz

Project Oz, the new Administrative software system will be implemented at Cuesta College’s San Luis Obispo, North County and South County campus. This program will run Administration, Curriculum, Schedule, Admissions, Registration, Financial Aid, Counseling, and Institutional Advancement integrating the Cuesta College Foundation.

At the February 2006 Cuesta College Board of Trustees meeting Project Oz got the green light to proceed.  In April there was a college wide kickoff for Project Oz; and the project has steamed full speed ahead since. Project Oz activities have been going on since June 1, 2006 and will continue until the software is up and running, projected for August 2008. 

There are 6 major components of the project:
• Fiscal
• Human Resources and Payroll
• Students
• Financial Aid
• Institutional Advancement
• The Portal (MyCuesta)

Each major component went to the first of many workshops to determine how that area will implement their module. From these workshops a detailed schedule extending to August 2008 was also developed, available on the web site.
