Kevin Bontenbal is the 2005 Super Star

Kevin Bontenbal is this year’s recipient of the “star of stars,” the “super star” and our gratitude for his outstanding leadership of faculty development. Kevin has the attitude we expect from a star employee--he is positive, and keeps a “can do it” attitude even when others might be losing theirs. Leading professional development isn’t a well-paid assignment. In fact, Kevin has probably volunteered at least half as many hours as he has been compensated.  Why did he do that? Because the work needed to be done.

It is Kevin we thank for computerizing and managing the flex contracts, for organizing five years of flex activities and instructive Opening Day programs. While leading faculty development, Kevin has also developed courses and taught in the innovative on-line Library Technician program, parented three young sons, and pursued his doctorate degree.
