Art Awards Announced

Seven Cuesta College Fine Arts Division students have received cash awards for their excellence in studio classroom performance.

Honored with a Helen Novy Art Award are Alexanna Alvarado for photography/camera art; Scott Grocott for digital media; Whitney McIlvaine for ceramics; Mihaela Pucko for sculpture; Brian Rangel for drawing/design; Loretta Robinson for painting, and Aubree Steele for printmaking/etching. Cuesta Fine Arts faculty members made the final selections, with each recipient receiving $50.
The award was established by Frederick G. Novy in memory of his mother.
