Former 49er Quarterback Jeff Garcia at Cuesta Athletics Fundraiser

Former San Francisco 49er and 3-Time Pro Bowl quarterback Jeff Garcia is coming to town to show his support for Cuesta Athletics. Garcia will be the keynote speaker at the second annual Cuesta College fundraising dinner/auction, which begins at 6 p.m., Friday, April 28 in the newly renovated Madonna Inn Expo Center in San Luis Obispo.

Garcia was a successful student athlete at Gavilan Community College prior to attending San Jose State University and signing with the San Francisco 49ers in 1999. This past year, Garcia played for his former head coach at the 49ers, Steve Mariucci, with the Detroit Lions.

The April 28 gala event will include many wonderful auction items, such as gift baskets from local merchants and wineries, sports memorabilia from Cuesta College, the San Francisco 49ers and many other professional sports teams. The Grand Prize winner will receive two NFL game tickets to attend the Pittsburg Steelers "Super Bowl Champions" vs. the Oakland Raiders game this upcoming fall. Every ticket includes a chance to win the Grand Prize!
