Leilani Greene Nominated for Statewide Scholar Athlete Award

Leilani Greene, Pepsi Scholar Athlete of the Year Nominatee

Cuesta College Athletics continues its outstanding record of academic excellence with the nomination of Leilani Greene as a female candidate for the 2003 Pepsi Scholar Athlete of the Year Award. The Cuesta College Track and Field star is one of 16 community college female athletes nominated for the award, who were picked out of nearly 25,000 students statewide.

Leilani’s record is impressive both off and on the track. She is a two-time member of the All Western State Conference (WSC) Academic Team, a three-time member of the Dean’s Honor List and has completed 76.5 units with a 3.62 GPA. In addition, she was named the 2003 Cuesta College Warren Hansen Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Leilani is currently the Cuesta College pole vault record holder and was the cross-country team captain in 2002.
