| Easy Ridin’ on Highway One | ||
| The drive doesn’t have to be as stressful as
the job – but that stress was part of the daily ritual for Cuesta
employees until recently. Highway One has gotten a lot safer thanks to the
recently completed median barrier.
The $6.5 million project installed a 32" high concrete median barrier that runs approximately five miles between Cal Poly and the first gate at Cuesta College when coming from San Luis Obispo. The road had seen its share of accidents – many of them fatal – when vehicles crossed the center divider and into incoming traffic. |
