Positions Held:

Division Chair: Physical Education and Athletics (July 2002 - Spring 2006). As Division Chair, I oversee and coordinate facility and faculty scheduling, tracking of faculty loads, budget managment, unit plan processes, curriculum oversight, leading divisional meetings, program review processes. I also participate in numerous other governance capacities.

Faculty Distance Education Mentor (Summer 2000 - Spring 2002). Mentoring Cuesta College faculty in preparing for, and implementing, online distance education classes.

Advisory Committee member: California Virtual Campus 4 (CVC4) . Faculty Mentor (Jan. 2000 Present). Consulting services to the Chancellor's Office-funded CVC4 region. As faculty mentor, I was involved attending regional workshops and required meetings, distributing technology training materials to campus faculty, coordinating mentor efforts with existing staff development structures, and acting as liaison with the Regional Center to communicate faculty and administrative technology training needs. I have also served as an advisory committee member, attending CVC conferences and providing input to the CVC4 region.

Team member: @ONE Project (Fall 1999 - 2001). Consulting services for the Chancellor's Office-funded @ONE Technology Training Project. These services included: Maintaining current news articles on the home page of the current @ONE project web site, researching tech news pages, tech newsletters, tech list serves, and news discussion forum web pages for the test site, providing input during @ONE project team voice conferences, and helping plan and conduct the Summer Technology Institute

Instructor of Sportsmedicine, Health, Physical Education theory and activity classes (Spring1978 -Present), Cuesta College. Organized, prepared for, and taught, lecture and activity courses. This included assigning, reading, and grading homework, creating and administering exams, staying abreast of relevant pedagogical advances, conducting classroom-based research, and interacting with students.

Academic Senate President (Fall 1995 - Spring 1997). Represented Cuesta College faculty to the administration and to the Board of Trustees, in all academic and professional matters. This position included leading meetings, providing resources to faculty, conducting administrative evaluations, and appointing faculty to campus committees.

Assistant Director of Health and Physical Education, Cuesta Community College (Fall 1993 - Spring 1995). Duties included scheduling and tracking faculty loads and division facilities, mentoring new faculty members, creating and monitoring relevant agenda items for divisional meetings, coordinating the health education department, program review, and curriculum responsibilities.

Health Education Coordinator at Cuesta Community College. (Fall 1987 - Spring 1995). Coordinated efforts to improve the quality and consistency of teaching in the area of general health education. This position included new teacher mentoring, coordination of department textbook acquisition, development of health education resources, and development of health education teaching facility.

Employee Wellness coordinator: Administrative duties in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Cuesta employee wellness program (Fall 1986 - Spring 1993). Major responsibilities included surveying employees to determine their preferences concerning health topics and classes to be offered by the wellness program and implementing said programs at Cuesta College. Duties also included developing means for evaluating the benefits provided by the program.

Rotary International Group Study Exchange participant, 1986. This program is a world peace
thrust of Rotary Foundation in 62 countries of the world. Five young business professionals were
selected to attend language school and then spend 7 weeks in Italy living in Italian homes, speaking
at community and Rotary affairs, thus, serving our country as "Ambassadors of Peace."
