Roanna Bennie
Dean of Humanities
Cuesta’s new Dean of Humanities, Roanna Bennie, stepped into the role of Dean in June 2005. Her previous experience includes seven years of academic administration and eight years of classroom instruction.
Bennie served for 7 years as the Vice President Academic Affairs/Academic Dean at Life Pacific College in San Dimas, California. In that position, she provided oversight for all academic offices, the library, admissions, registrar’s office and distance learning.
Bennie’s other higher educational experience includes serving as a faculty member at Monterey Peninsula College and California State University, Northridge.
Bennie earned her Master’s Degree in Speech Communication from Cal State University, Northridge and her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Communication from Montana State University. She has two grown sons and resides in Morro Bay, CA.
