Jennifer Dodson
Applied Horn Instructor
Jennifer Dodson began teaching horn at Cuesta College in 2004. She is an active freelance hornist on the Central Coast. Jennifer Dodson performs with the San Luis Obispo Symphony, Santa Maria Philharmonic, Cuesta Master Chorale, Pacific Repertory Opera, Summer Winds, and Burnished Brass. She also plays with the Central City Opera in Central City, Colorado.
Ms. Dodson attended California State University at Fresno where she completed her B.A. in Music Education and Music Performance. While at CSU Fresno she also attended many summer music programs such as the Aspen Music Festival, Rafael Mendez Brass Institute, and the WASBE. After receiving her teaching credential Ms. Dodson attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where she completed a Master's of Music in Horn Performance. Jennifer was a Graduate Assistant at CU and a successful freelance artist in the Denver/Metro area.
Ms. Dodson has studied horn with Vince DeRosa, David Wakefield, Dr. David Pinkow, Michael Thornton, Dr. Thomas Hiebert, Dr. James Winter, and Andrew Hardin.
