Caroline Tobin
Clarinet
Caroline Tobin has had a long and active career as a symphony clarinetist and chamber musician in Southern California and now on the Central Coast. She was Principal Clarinetist with the Ventura Symphony for 20 years and is currently Principal Clarinetist with the Santa Maria Philharmonic. She has been the Bass Clarinetist with the Santa Barbara Symphony since 1983 and holds that position with the San Luis Obispo Symphony as well. She is a member of the Mozart Festival Orchestra as well as the SummerWinds Woodwind Quintet.
Since moving to the Central Coast, Ms. Tobin has become the Clarinet Instructor for Cal Poly as well as Cuesta College. She also directs the Cal Poly Clarinet Ensemble.
In her spare time, Ms. Tobin enjoys showing and breeding champion English Mastiffs.
