Race Relations
& Diversity (10points)
Introduction:
Definitions require an explanation that distinguishes the word from all
other words. No credit will be given for definitions that include
the word you are trying to define. Alternately when defining 'non-dominant'
or minority group (synonymous) provide an explanation first (question #3),
then Question #3 asks for examples of different types
of non-dominant groups e.g., women, religious etc. Dominant and non-dominant group relations in society are directly related to power, control
and access to the resources in a given society (e.g., education, high paying
jobs, health care). You are encouraged to find alternate definitions on
the Internet to expand your understanding of these basic diversity concepts.
