English Placement Exam
New Cuesta students are required to take an English assessment test prior to enrolling in English classes with prerequisites.

Math Placement Exam
New Cuesta students may or my not be required to take a mathematics assessment test prior to enrolling in mathematics classes with prerequisites.
Math Proficiency
The Math Proficiency Test: is an algebra proficiency test, which satisfies the math competency requirement for graduation.

(ATB) Ability to Benefit Exam
The Ability To Benefit test (ATB) is for students lacking a high school diploma, or its equivalent, who wish to apply for Title IV Student Financial Aid.
American Constitution Exam (for Teaching Credential)
The American Constitution Test is designed for teachers who have not completed the Constitution requirement for credential applications. This test meets the state requirements but does not provide course units of credit.

(CLEP) College Level Examination Program - Exams for Undergraduate College Credits
Cuesta College is an open CLEP testing center. It is open to Cuesta College students as well as non-Cuesta College students. Each test is a 90-minute computer based, multiple-choice test.
COST: $70 + $30 proctoring
(DSPS) Assessment for Students with Disabilities

(HOBET) Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test - For Psychiatric Technician Program
Students interested in applying to the Psychiatric Technician program must take the HOBET test as part of the application process. It covers reading comprehension and pre-algebra math skills.
