The purpose of assessment is to provide students with information regarding their current skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. Assessment results give students information that will help them choose classes that fit their individual abilities - allowing them to enroll in classes in which they can be successful. Prospective Cuesta College students must complete a Cuesta College application prior to scheduling an English or math assessment test and the Ability to Benefit test.
In addition to administering Math and English placement tests for incoming Cuesta College students, the test center is dedicated to serving the community by providing proctoring for on-line or distance learning exams. We also administer the Ability to Benefit Test, American Constitution Test and all CLEP tests.
Note: A parking permit ($2) is required during the Fall, Spring and Summer sessions. It is not required between sessions.
