Dear Potential Math 127 Student,
Please read through all of the following information carefully before you register for this course. Be aware that this not a fully distance education course; it is a hybrid course which has regular once a week meetings.
First Class Meeting: DATE: Thursday, January 21, 2010
TIME: 5:30 to 6:45 pm
PLACE: Room 3301, San Luis Obispo Campus (Map)
During this meeting you will learn about the course requirements and I will orient you to the course materials and the on-line learning environment. Please do not purchase any course materials before the first class meeting. There is nothing you need to do before the first class meeting, but once the semester begins, be prepared to devote at least 10 to 15 hours a week for this course.
Class Meets Weekly: Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:45 pm Room 3301
Attendance at the weekly meeting is mandatory. Please make sure you can commit to the weekly meetings before you make the commitment to enroll in the class.
During the weekly class meetings we summarize concepts you have learned and practiced during the previous week's assignments. You will have an opportunity to ask questions on assignments and work collaboratively with others. Assignments are due in class, and all exams are administered face to face. These will be scheduled during the regular class time.
