The
audio files for Spanish are located inside the Español folder,
specifically in
Dos
mundos - quinta edicion/Audio Tracks - Fifth Edition.
The folder Dos
mundos - quinta edicion/Supplemental Materials contains the video tapes,
the tape scripts and additional materials related to the text.
The audio files for French are located inside the French folder at French/MP3 Audio Tapes.
The audio files for German are located inside the DEUTSCH folder at DEUTSCH\German CD 1 FALL 2004 and DEUTSCH\German CD 2 FALL 2004 with additional resources also located in the DEUTSCH folder. For more information regarding available resources in German, contact Petra Clayton at pclayton@cuesta.edu or 546-3194
The student computers have high-speed Internet access over a Ti line. They also have Microsoft Word installed with spellcheckers and thesauruses in Spanish, French and German as well as in English. While student computers are not connected to the laser printer in the Language Lab, students can send material to their web-based e-mail account and print it from another location.
The
Language Laboratory
The International Languages Laboratory is located in Room 6103. It currently
contains 18 student computers that are networked to the Q drive (described
above) For more detailed information, visit the lab web site at academic.cuesta.edu/intlang/lab.
This is a screen shot of the student login screen. It will appear when the student computers in the Language Lab are first turned on. The values to enter are as follows:
Userid: 6103
Password: (Leave this blank)
Log on to: Instruction.
Note that you get to the choice, Instruction, by clicking the down arrow in the window to the right of the
Log on to window.
Students who wish to complete the workbook assignments in the Language Lab access the audio files here. The Language Lab also features class-specific software for French, German and Spanish.
Important!
Both the G and Q drives are shared drives. Do not
make any changes to these drives unless you know what you are doing. If
you rename folders or move files, you may make them unreadable by others.
FOR EXAMPLE: If you add a tilde to the existing folder, "ESPANOL", you will break all links to programs in the Language Lab that reside within that directory. If you have any questions, contact Ralph Sutter at rsutter@cuesta.edu or 546-3100 x2694.
