Data Projectors

The overhead data projectors are located in Rooms 6014 and 6108A. They can project images from the classroom computer or from the VHS player. To turn on the data projector, hold down the ON button on the remote control. You should then see light coming from the projector bulb.

If the data projector doesn't turn on, make sure that you continue to hold down the ON button of the remote control. You may need to turn off the fluorescent ceiling lights. The issue doesn't seem to be the light itself. Apparently, the electrical ballast of the fluorerscent lights confuses the remote control.

To project an image of the computer screen, press RGB on the remote control. To show a VHS tape through the data projector, press VIDEO on the remote control.

NOTE: Turn off the data projector when you are not using it. The bulbs are very expensive to replace, typically $250-400 each and only last for an average of 2000 hours. If you are unable to turn off the data projector at the end of class, DO NOT allow is to run all night long. Call the Cuesta Police Department at 546-3205.
