The Business Partners Program

The Business Partners Program was established in 1995 to promote two-way communication between Cuesta College and the San Luis Obispo County business community enabling the college to better serve the educational training needs of local employers and employees. The program enriches and enhances the College’s role in the county’s economic development by involving business leaders in the forefront of new directions and partnerships for education.

Cuesta College provides essential training to improve the skills of the local workforce, enhancing the effectiveness of businesses and the local economy. The need for lifelong learning and training opportunities requires a collaborative effort between the College and local employers.

Membership

Annual membership is $1,500 and is used to support scholarships, to help with the cost of highly specialized equipment essential for college laboratories, and to build college, business and community partnerships. Payment options are available. Join online now with your credit card on our secure web page and designate your payment to Business Partners.

Benefits

  • We are expanding our Business Partners Program. Businesses who contribute $1500 annually to Cuesta College and its various departments and programs on campus will become a member of this distinguished program. In the past, participation in the program was limited to unrestricted gifts.
  • Luncheon Meetings with Superintendent/President. You will have the opportunity to discuss business challenges and how the college can contribute to preparing a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce. Opportunities for campus tours will also be available.
  • The Cuesta College Foundation will host an annual mixer and invite all Business Partners to take a campus tour, enjoy networking with leading business leaders and discuss how the college can provide resources to help meet your business needs and goals.
  • Business Partners can utilize the services of our on-campus Career Connections Department and advertise job and career opportunities for employment all year long.
  • Each Business Partner will receive a 15% discount off the first 8 hours of in-house training provided by Cuesta’s Institute for Professional Development; acknowledgements in college publications and an annual guest parking permit.
