Summary of Course
Emergency Medical Technicians can review and update their knowledge and skills required to qualify for the State of California Emergency Medical Technician Level I certification through this five week evening course. The course will cover the six instructional modules as established by the 1994 U.S. Department of Transportation "EMT-Basic: Refresher
Curriculum".
Course Version
The EMT Refresher Class is offered in the distant education format.
Students are required to complete the required modules and attend a mandatory
skills session at the end of the nine week class. For more information on the online

Who can take this class?

This course is open to current or recently expired Emergency Medical Technicians, and
the student will need a current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer level CPR card in
order to be certified. All students must provide evidence of current or expired EMT
card or certificate prior to enrollment for the online class, or on the first
day of class for the summer session.
