The curriculum is the major statement any institution makes about
itself, about what it can contribute to the intellectual development of
students, about what it thinks is important in its teaching service to
society.
(The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of
Teaching, 1979, p.18)
The Curriculum Committee is a Joint Senate/Administration
Committee. The committee reviews and recommends course and program
additions, revisions, and deletions and develops policy related to
academic offerings.
The Cuesta College faculty is charged by Title V with the primary
responsibility for making recommendations in the areas of curriculum and
academic standards. |
