practices promoting diversity within the community colleges. It is funded by the State Chancellor's Office Fund for Student Success,
and is the result of three years of work by the staff of the Center for Student Success (CSS), the research and evaluation arm of the

GLAAD
GLAAD's web site serves to further its goal of fighting "the defamation
of lesbians and gays and their enforced invisibility in the popular
culture." The site defines the goals, the victories and the battles
being waged by GLAAD, with regional chapters reporting on events in

(Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) Provides information for instructors
about creating safe schools for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered
people.
HRC
(Human Rights Campaign) This site allows you to lobby your senators and
representatives, and to immediately send them a message. The battles
that are being fought regarding lesbian/gay legislation and litigation
are chronicled throughout the HRC site, with the HRC link page containing
approximately 55 links, many of them political in nature.

and transgendered individuals on key issues that also significantly

National Gay and Lesbian Taskforce, an organization which "seeks to
build the political strength of the lesbian and gay rights movement

This page is part of the National Organization
of Women's web site. NOW's policies on lesbian rights are defined;
there is also a short narrative on the history of NOW and lesbian
rights.

The
