TERI SHERMAN
Generalist Counselor and Academic Probation Counselor
Teri has
worked at Cuesta as a counselor since 1997. She was also employed for
eight years as a counselor and instructor at Allan Hancock College in Santa
Maria. She was hired full time at Cuesta in 2002.
Teri specializes in counseling and teaching at-risk students, and advising academic probation students
and first-generation college students. She also specializes in motivational
counseling. As a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, earning her Masters Degree in
Education, Teri enjoys helping students prepare for transfer to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo,
as well as, other CSU's and UC's.
In her spare
time Teri enjoys traveling with her husband, especially to Mexico. She
also enjoys waterskiing, reading, art, and studying Spanish.
