KATE PORTER
Generalist counselor
Kate has been a generalist counselor since July 2000. She has worked at both the San Luis and North County
campuses and currently serves as a counseling liaison to the learning communities. Kate enjoys assisting students
in their educational pursuits and working in an academic setting.
When
Kate has also worked in private practice as a learning disability specialist, helping students with dyslexia and
reading comprehension difficulties. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
She is also an avid reader, a dabbling artist, a weekend gardener and a decent tennis player.
