JULIE MILES
Workforce Development Projects(WDP) Counselor
Julie has been employed by Cuesta College as a part-time Counselor since fall 2005. She is also employed as the
part-time Transfer Counselor for Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. Julie had also been employed for over two
years as an Academic Progress Counselor for Cal Poly University, SLO.
Julie specializes in counseling Cal Works participants and helping them achieve both academic and financial
self-sufficiency. She enjoys empowering students, in order to overcome personal barriers and attain their
education, so they can get a more secure and satisfying employment within the community.
When she’s not working, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys music and likes to
run and play volleyball.
