JANET FLOREZ-GUTIERREZ
Bilingual
Spanish)
Generalist Counselor, Counseling Instructor, Advisor to LLN & MEChA
I have been
a Cuesta counselor since 1994. I moved here from Shafter, a small town
near Bakersfield College where I was also an EOPS counselor and instructor
before moving to the Central Coast. My past work experience includes having
been a MFCC therapist at a domestic violence agency, founder, director,
and counselor of alcoholism treatment centers, a high school teacher,
health educator for two rural health clinics and coordinator of social
services and outreach at an inter city program in San Diego. I bring with
me a wealth of varied experience.
Helping
you find solutions to your problems is what I enjoy best. In my spare
time I get involved in cultural events and enjoy spending time with my
family and close friends. I love working in the garden, watching movies,
and kicking back.
