COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
REENTRY PROGRAM
Katchy Andrews, Counselor
Reentry Program Coordinator
Our Reentry Program is open to both women and men. A Reentry student is one who meets the following criteria:
- 25 years of age or older
- Returning to school after an absence of five or more years
To ensure a smooth transition for those returning to school, our program offers classes and services such as counseling, emergency grants,
and priority registration.
How can the Reentry Program help you?
In the words of a Reentry student:
"After a 20 year break from college, I was a little intimidated to come back and thought the Reentry Program would help me make the
transition."
How do you get started?
Visit the How to Get Started at Cuesta College page or pick up
a handout at walk-in Counseling. After you submit the
online
application, we suggest that you complete one of Cuesta’s orientations: Great Start, myCuesta Mondays, or online. Contact the Counseling Department for information. These orientations are designed to prepare you for your first semester at Cuesta College.
Once attending Cuesta, plan to make an appointment
with a counselor to find out more about the Reentry Program and Services.
