Agricultural Technology Program
The Agricultural Technology program is a cooperative educational program between Cuesta College and California
Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, which enables qualified Cuesta students to enroll in specified Cal
Poly courses in the College of Agriculture while concurrently attending Cuesta College. Students enrolled in this
program may earn an Associate of Science degree in any of eight majors: Animal Science, Crop Science, Dairy
Product Technology, Dairy Science/Dairy Production, Fruit Science, Environmental Horticulture Design (Floral
Design concentration), Environmental Horticultural Design (Landscape Horticulture concentration), Environmental
Horticulture (Plant Production concentration), or Fruit Science.
Ag Tech students complete general education and elective coursework at Cuesta College and major courses within
the College of Agriculture at Cal Poly. They pay fees to each institution for every term in which they are
enrolled, and grades are posted to their transcript at the institution where the course was completed. Upon
completion of required coursework, their A.S. degrees are granted by Cuesta College.
Interested students should contact the vocational counselor in the Cuesta College Career/Transfer Center at (805)
