ORIENTATION

The Cuesta College New Student Orientation is designed to help students get off to a GREAT START! Students will learn about the requirements for the certificate, Associate Degree and transfer, as well as policies and procedures of the college.

Students can participate in a New Student Orientation by choosing one of the options below.

In-Person Group Orientation
Most scheduled in-person group orientation sessions are offered directly after the English and mathematics assessment sessions and are approximately two hours long. Please refer to the current schedule of classes or the "Orientation Schedule" link below for orientation dates and times. Please call Cuesta College’s Assessment Office at (805)546-3951 or send/fax the Great Start Orientation Sign Up Form to reserve a spot. Sessions fill quickly.

myCuesta Monday
A mini orientation facilitated by a Cuesta College counselor. Students will complete the online orientation and choose their first term classes. Sessions are offered directly after English and math assessment testing. Please refer to the current schedules of classes or the "Orientation Schedule" link below for dates and times. Please call Cuesta College’s Assessment Office at (805)546-3951 to reserve a spot. Sessions fill quickly.

Online Orientation
Once an application for admission has been submitted, the online orientation is available by clicking the Online Orientation logo below, logging into myCuesta, clicking on the Student tab, and choosing Online Orientation from Steps to Success channel.

FINANCIAL AID STUDENTS
To find out if participation in an Orientation meets your Financial Aid requirements, visit the Financial Aid SEP/Orientation Page.

Students who are a part of special campus populations such as Athletics, Extended Opportunity Programs and Services, Disabled Students Programs and Services, Reentry, International, and English as a Second Language are urged to participate in orientations offered by these programs.
