EXEMPTION FROM ORIENTATION
Students may be exempt from ORIENTATION if they meet one of the exemption criteria listed below.
Earned an Associate or higher Degree.
Attended orientation at another college.
Are a non-matriculating K-12 grade student.
Are concurrently enrolled in another college or university and are receiving matriculation services at that
college or university.
Are taking courses for personal interest.
Are taking courses for advancement in current job/career (updating job skills).
Are taking courses to maintain a certificate or license.
Although students are not required to participate in an orientation if they fit into
one of the seven categories above, they are encouraged to participate in an in-person
group orientation or Online Orientation to become familiar with Cuesta College policies
and procedures.
