WALK-IN COUNSELING
SAN LUIS OBISPO CAMPUS
Walk-In Counseling is located at the One-Stop Student Service Center. During the Fall and Spring
semesters, counselors are usually available 8:30 to 3:30 Monday through Thursday; 10:30 to 3:00 on Fridays (CLOSED FRIDAYS IN JUNE AND JULY). Please call in advance to verify daily
hours. Summer walk-in hours will vary. Check the announcement board at the Counseling desk for changes in the weekly schedule.
Students sign in at the appointment window and sit in the waiting area. Students are taken on a first
come, first serve basis. This service is intended to answer quick questions and is limited to 15 minutes per visit.
Walk-in counseling is appropriate for referral to campus and community services, short term academic planning,
informational quick questions, or emergency problem solving. Evaluation of transcripts from other colleges or
Student Education Plans cannot be done at walk-in.
NORTH COUNTY CAMPUS
Walk-In Counseling is located at the Walk-In counter in the Student Services area of the 3000 building. During
the Fall and Spring semesters, counselors are available during varying blocks from 9:00am to 7:00pm Monday through
Thursday. Summer walk-in hours will vary. Check the announcement board at the Walk-In counter for counselor
availability. The North County Campus Transfer Center is located adjacent to the walk-in desk and if time
permits, counselors will also assist with Transfer Center services.
A clipboard is available for students to sign in and are taken on a first come, first serve basis.
