	5.0 hours per week:2.0 hours lecture, 3.0 hours lab. Students are required to attend 3 hours of lab instruction per week
	Prerequisite: Eligibility for English 56 is recommended
	Introduces the non-biology major to the organization and evolution of life and the structure and function of living systems from cells to biomes.
	Acceptable for credit, UC, CSU, and for Bio 101-105 Cal Poly
