BIO 47 - Independent Studies - 0.5 TO 4.0 units

1.5 to 6.0 hours lab per week by arrangement. Prerequisite: Eligibility for English 56 is recommended. Provides an opportunity for an in-depth study or a practicum experience by an individual student in a selected topic of Biology under the direction of an instructor. May be taken 4 semesters for credit (only if each semester has a different topic emphasis). Acceptable for credit, CSU. For UC, credit contingent upon UC review.

BIO 93 - Biology Special Topics - 0.5 TO 2.0 units

0.5 to 4.0 hours lecture/lab per week. Examines a special topic in the field of study related to the discipline offering this course.
