9.0 hours per week: 2.0 hours lecture, 6.0 hours lab. Prerequisite: Chemistry 10 or equivalent. Eligibility for English 56 is recommended. Presents the general facts regarding bacteria and other microbial forms, particularly those that affect our general health. Laboratory work includes culture techniques, animal host techniques, and identification of microbes. Acceptable for credit, UC, CSU, and for Bact 221, Cal Poly.
