Colin Campbell is a mainstay at the athletic department at Cuesta College. He first joined the department in 1991 and took over the Athletic Equipment Manager position in 2000. Colin is a local product and graduated from nearby Morro Bay High. He played football and wrestled for the Pirates and helped lead the wrestling team to an undefeated season in 1981. Colin began his collegiate career at Cuesta College before enlisting in the Air Force. While in the Air Force, his specialty was working on the F-15 fighter Aircraft.
Colin enjoys playing softball, fishing and cheering for his Oakland Raiders. He also holds a Black Belt in Japanese style Wado Ryu Karate.
Colin lives in Templeton with his girlfriend, Cuesta instructor, Mechelle Medhurst. They enjoy three children Jacob, Shane, and Erica.>>top

Ken Bliss joined the Cuesta Athletic Staff in 2007, where he has been able to study under veteran Athletic Equipment Manager Colin Campbell. The two have formed one of the best Athletic Equipment Manger combinations in the State and have quickly become the envy of all visiting teams.
Ken was raised in Palos Verdes and attended Palos Verdes High. He was a superior athlete in high school and competed in surfing, swimming, water polo, football, and volleyball. After high school, Ken initially moved to the island of Maui to pursue his love of big wave riding before coming to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly.
While in San Luis Obispo, Ken joined Cal Fire as a firefighter 1, specializing in heavy rescue. Ken then married into a bakery, which he ran with his wife for twenty years. He sold the bakery in 2005 and took a position at Cal Poly as assistant manager of athletic operations. He transitioned from that position to Cuesta a few years later.
Ken is an avid yachtsman and enjoys yacht racing, paragliding and golf.
Ken and his wife, Sheri, have two daughters- Matheson and Sydney. Ken and Sheri are planning to sail around the world in the next few years..>>top

Nancy Webb is the division assistant for Cuesta Athletics and is in charge of
budgets and accounting, as well as running the office for the department. She was recruited to join athletics by co-worker Vicki Simonson in 2006 and the duo has become an integral part of the department's success. She says it is the best job for her because she enjoys working with people and continues to work with accounting for the department.
Nancy graduated from Verdugo Hills High School and began taking accounting and business classes at Pierce College, however she began working in the field and left to take a full-time position. She worked her way up to senior staff accountant at Sterling Software, a computer software firm in Los Angeles. Nancy walked away from that life to move to the central coast and build a home in Templeton. She and her family built their own home over the next ten years. After taking most of that decade off, Nancy took a position as an accountant for Cuesta and worked there for six years before moving to athletics.
Nancy is an avid reader and enjoys walking biking and kayaking.
Nancy lives on the Central Coast with her daughter Audrey, who is a Cuesta student.>>top

Vicki Simonson joined the Cuesta Athletic Staff as the Athletic Secretary in 2001. She is a vital part of the smooth running machine that is Cuesta Athletics and takes care of the day-to-day details.
Vicki was raised in Torrance and began her career at Hughes Aircraft as an administrative assistant. She then took the same position at UCLA in the chemistry department, while attending classes. She soon left that line of work to begin her own business. Vicki owned her own interior design business and worked as a design consultant and decorative painter. Although, she continues to dabble in interior design, she came to Cuesta in 1999 as the secretary in Nursing and after a couple of years she moved over to athletics.
Vicki is very creative and enjoys music, painting and other crafts. She likes to spend her leisure time going on beach walks and reading.

Pete Schuler began as Cuesta College's Sports Information Director in 1996 and has helped the department evolve into one of the standard bearers for the State. He began his tenure in time for the school's 30th anniversary and researched a comprehensive history of the program. He also developed the annual yearbook and team brochures to fill a vacancy in the programs recruiting and marketing potential. Pete has also been involved with and helps update the department's website, as well as working with the national and local media in the promotion of Cuesta Athletics.
In 1994 Pete, a former Cuesta student, graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor's Degree in History. In his final year in Malibu, Pete got a chance to work in the athletic department and enjoyed working behind the scenes of a big time program. After returning to coach and teach on the Central Coast, Pete accepted the Sports Information Director position at Cuesta College in 1995, while continuing to coach the college's water polo team. In 1999, Pete helped found the California Community College Sports Information Association and served as that body's president from 2005-2008. He also served as a member of the Commission on Athletics Management Council for three years. Pete has been the State SID for water polo and swimming for several State Championships and for nine years he published the men and women's water polo newsletter and poll, before helping develop the jcwaterpolo.com website. Pete has also worked for the basketball and baseball State Championships as a scorekeeper, announcer and radio color commentator. In 2008, he completed his Master's Degree, with distinction, at nearby Cal Poly SLO.
Pete is very active and plays both basketball and baseball in community leagues. He is also an avid reader and a dedicated surfer.
Pete is married and lives with his wife Emily on the Central Coastt. >>top
