PROGRESS (UNITS COMPLETED) DISMISSAL STATUS

The spring or fall semester was the third semester in which your overall academic record reflects that you have achieved a "W," "I," or "NC" in 50 percent (50%) or more of your courses. (See the Cuesta College Catalog, www.cuesta.edu, for a description of Progress Probation and Dismissal.)

Failure to comply with the directions in this correspondence will result in your automatic dismissal from the spring or fall semester.

REINSTATEMENT OPTIONS

You will be allowed to enroll in spring or fall courses if you comply with option "1" below. If you select option "2," you will regain eligibility to enroll for the spring or fall semester. (Note: These instructions are separate from any communications you may receive from the Financial Aid Office.)

  1. Attend a Dismissal Reinstatement Workshop to be eligible for probationary reinstatement.

  • Select a workshop from the enclosed schedule.

  • Complete and return the enclosed workshop form to the San Luis Obispo Campus Counseling Office at least one day prior to the workshop you plan to attend. (No workshop reminder will be sent.)

  • At the workshop, agree to adjust your spring or fall schedule of courses as recommended by the Cuesta College counselor.

  • At the workshop, agree to the conditions of the Contract for Probationary Reinstatement.

  1. "Sit out" one full semester. If you decide not to attend the fall or spring semester, you would regain eligibility to enroll at Cuesta for the spring or fall semester.

If you have questions, please call the Cuesta College Counseling Office at (805) 546-3138. Calls will be accepted Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
