are processed and stored.
- SEMANTIC. What words and symbols mean, the memory of what
distinguishes a dog from a cat. Stored in the angular gyrus.
- IMPLICIT. How to ride a bike, swim, drive a car. Kept in the
cerebellum.
- REMOTE. Quiz show answers, like the names of the five Presidents
after Lincoln. Seems to be scattered around the cerebral cortex.
- WORKING. The brain's controller, which lets you keep several
matters in mind simultaneously. Located in the prefrontal cortex.
- EPISODIC. Where you parked your car, anecdotes from the luncheon
speech you just heard. Created in the hippocampus.
