Tutorial Services in the Student Success Centers

Our Mission:

The mission of Tutorial Services is to help Cuesta students achieve college success by reinforcing and supplementing classroom instruction, improving learning efficiency and effectiveness, and ultimately supporting students in becoming independent learners.

Our Services:

The Tutorial Center provides free small group and drop-in tutoring in many academic subjects. Students receive one hour of tutoring each week. Tutors are faculty recommended, have received a B or better in the courses they tutor, and complete a tutor training class (ACSK 168) during their first semester as a tutor. Tutors are trained to help students develop long-term learning strategies that facilitate independent learning.

Tutoring schedules are posted below and in the Tutorial Center in the Student Success Centers, Room 3300 and N3130. Students who wish to be tutored, or who are interested in becoming a tutor, should contact the Tutorial Center.

SLO Campus

Tutoring: Monday - Thursday 9:30 am- 3:30 pm

Math Drop-In: Monday - Thursday 9:30 am- 4:30 pm
