Course Requirements:

Lab Credit Requirements:

  • For one unit of credit, 51 hours of independent study must be completed, or an average of 3 hours weekly.
  • For one-half credit, 27 hours of independent study must be completed, or an average of 1.5 hours weekly.
  • The instructor will determine student placement with materials and will monitor his/her progress.
  • Lab time is to be used for completing basic skill assignments given by the Lab Instructor. Work for other courses is not allowed on Lab time. Lab is not a "study hall."

Information:

  1. Grading is on a credit/no credit basis.
  2. Units are not transferable & not degree applicable.
  3. Enrollment is possible until the 12th week of the semester.
  4. Maximum enrollment is 1 unit per semester. Lab may be repeated 3 times.
  5. Instruction is provided by computer software programs, audio & videos tapes and other mediated instruction.
  6. All Lab hours must be completed by last class meeting of the semester; the Lab is not open during final exam week.
  7. Studies show that students taking ACSK005 earn higher grades in English and Math courses.

Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
  • Fridays 9:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
