To facilitate the development and use
of student learning outcomes (SLOs) for Cuesta College
Programs the SLOA Faculty Liaison and members of the
SLOA Committee will conduct a training workshop for
faculty and administrators as a Flex activity on Thursday,
October 12, from 1-3pm in room 6302.
The workshop will address what SLOs
are and how they are incorporated in the current Accreditation
Standards. Guidelines and models will be presented
for creating Program and Course SLOs and assessment
plans so that participants can better develop, assess
and use SLO information in their respective Programs.
Participants are invited to bring questions and works-in–progress
to receive individualized assistance. With the integration
of SLOs into Program Review and other institutional
planning procedures, SLOs have become a central theme
for our work at the College and so all are encouraged
to attend.
